For years martial arts fighting have been involved in movies. But now it has come back in a totally different way. The new movie Ninja Assassin produced by the action-loving Wachowski brothers is the perfect example in having this unique quality. The film features a Korean Man playing the main role of the ninja. The movie is about a clan formed by a martial arts teacher, taking young children from all over the world and bringing them to a school where they are trained to fight and overcome pain with their mind. In return, they become the teachers sons and daughters and perform every task that their master gives them, including murder. The main characters who plays the ultimate ninja assassin, decides to take the opposite direction that his master has trained him for when it comes to finally proving himself a real son by killing a young little sword. Now a grown man, he decides to change his life, and help others so he can finally have his first breath of life.
I personally liked this movie. In the beginning it had really good plot setting behind everything. The way the movie was set up was amazing. I’m sure that special training camps are still being practiced around this world, but the way the movie showed it was clear and very realistic. The fighting was unbelievably incredible. The swords, spinning blades, and nun chucks fascinated me so much and to see how much technique and strength it took to use them properly. I never thought that such equipment can do so much damage to a person. For example, copping a head off or cutting a perfectly straight line on the body deep enough for have blood gushing out about 3 feet away from the body. That was one thing that the movie kind of took too far. I think that the producer over did the blood and death that was showed in the movie, but overall it was a great movie. It inspired me to want to do learn some type of martial arts which is what I intend in doing in the near future.
