The Ninja is Back Again

For years martial arts fighting have been involved in movies. But now it has come back in a totally different way. The new movie Ninja Assassin produced by the action-loving Wachowski brothers is the perfect example in having this unique quality. The film features a Korean Man playing the main role of the ninja. The movie is about a clan formed by a martial arts teacher, taking young children from all over the world and bringing them to a school where they are trained to fight and overcome pain with their mind. In return, they become the teachers sons and daughters and perform every task that their master gives them, including murder. The main characters who plays the ultimate ninja assassin, decides to take the opposite direction that his master has trained him for when it comes to finally proving himself a real son by killing a young little sword. Now a grown man, he decides to change his life, and help others so he can finally have his first breath of life.
I personally liked this movie. In the beginning it had really good plot setting behind everything. The way the movie was set up was amazing. I’m sure that special training camps are still being practiced around this world, but the way the movie showed it was clear and very realistic. The fighting was unbelievably incredible. The swords, spinning blades, and nun chucks fascinated me so much and to see how much technique and strength it took to use them properly. I never thought that such equipment can do so much damage to a person. For example, copping a head off or cutting a perfectly straight line on the body deep enough for have blood gushing out about 3 feet away from the body. That was one thing that the movie kind of took too far. I think that the producer over did the blood and death that was showed in the movie, but overall it was a great movie. It inspired me to want to do learn some type of martial arts which is what I intend in doing in the near future.

Celebrity Actions, Bad Examples?

No matter what type of celebrity scandal, it's difficult to keep up. These days, it seems as though celebs just can't keep themselves scandal free. Alright, so there are a choice few celebrities whose names rarely appear in tabloid headlines, then there are others whose names are rarely out of the tabloid headlines. It seems, especially lately, that female celebrities are finding themselves involved in scandals much more than their male counterparts. Let’s take the Spears for example. It all started when Britney’s marriage became to fall apart with husband Kevin Federline. He seems so perfect in the beginning until she married him and had two boys, Sean and Jayden. Now he wasn’t Britney’s hero, but her sons. When things got too much for Brit to handle, she did one of the most outrageous things ever that we all still remember till this day. She shaved her head. This definitely questioned whether if she qualified to be a good mother for his children or not. But eventually got help. Then came her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. Everyone thought that she would turn out to be a proper young girl. But that didn’t last so long until January 2007 when she announced that she was pregnant at the age of 16. She’s no young, what was she thinking! Not to mention that her boyfriend, Casey Aldridge left her afterwards because he didn’t even believe that it was his. Moving on to Vanessa Hudgens. She was the perfect sweet girl in High School Musical and became an idol for many of the young girls that were fans of the movies. Sadly she ruined that for herself when some nude pictures were exposed to the public. It has been repeatedly said that they were meant for boyfriend Zac Efron, but then again who really knows the truth about celebrities these days.

It’s amazing how celebrities get themselves into the stupidest situations. I do understand Britney’s thoughts about wanting to have custody of her kids when divorcing her husband, but that is no excuse on how she took care of things. What she does definitely affects her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spear, but even Britney made more responsible choices. Young girls these days seem to be not taking care of themselves or even respecting themselves. At the age of 16 years old she announced being pregnant with from her boyfriend. And what about Vanessa Hudgens? Taking nude pictures that anyone who has access to if they internet could of seen it, whether they were children or adults. People these days no matter what age have seen things that we can’t possibly imagine. When these types of actions are being seen by fans who appreciate and respect them they are completely given bad examples to our new generations, which may be why our new generations have already started to become screwed up.

Selena Is Not A Twilight Fan Either!

According to Perez Hilton, Selena Gomez is not a Twilight Fan either. She first started talking about how much she dislikes for Twilight were. She complained about how vampires and werewolves are unrealistic and childish. But she contradicts herself because she stars on the hit Disney show, Wizards of Waverly Place. Perez points out that even in her shows vampires and other fantasy creatures appear. So why doesn’t she like them again? It seems that having ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner is in one of the most talked about movies has something to do with her strong dislike about Twilight.

My basic overview about Selena’s dislike towards Twilight is ridiculously stupid. I’m almost certain that having Taylor Lautner being part of it has everything to do with why she doesn’t like it. I mean I’m sure that most ordinary girls would feel the same why. It’s the natural thing to feel when something deals with an ex-boyfriend or girlfriend. Why do we end up hating our ex- partners after we’re longer together? Is it because we can’t face the fact that we’re longer with them or that we’re jealous of their life without us? Whatever it is, I’m sure that Selena feels every bit of it. Not to mention Taylor Swift is current with Taylor Lautner, which may spice things up a little more. Ignoring the fact that Selena hates Twilight, There are plenty of other fans out there to respect and look up to it.

Chris Brown vs. Rihanna

Till this day, the beating that Rihanna received from Chris Brown is still fresh news. Rihanna still continues to talk about the abuse experience and continues to share more and more details with us. From Rihanna’s point of view, when she explains that it wasn’t technically Chris’s fault. She claims to have seen no life in his eyes when all this was occurring. She called that a black out. The fight all started when Rihanna said that she had a feeling that he was hiding something from her when he asked Chris a question and hesitated to answer. Of course like any other typical couple, when one partner lies, the other by instinct demands a direct true answer. And as we all know that Chris Brown did not take Rihanna’s pushing to tell her the truth so well. By the time the abused ended, she had a swollen, bleeding face. Thankfully, Chris Brown sees that he did major damaged to the one woman he loved. After a few days of this occurring, he turned himself in to the police and was ready to take all the consequences. He does question himself as to why he reacted so violently.

Unfortunately, unlike Rihanna who still loves him as sees this past horrifying event as a way for him to grow, have lost respect of Chris Brown. I don’t think I’ve ever heard another celebrity beat his girlfriend, boyfriend, wife, or even husband. It clearly shows that Rihanna does have a big heart and is filled with love and forgiveness. If that was ever up to me, well I honestly don’t know what I would do, but I would definitely take a really long time away from him. Chris Brown seems more focused and worried about his career. He cares about whether his fans still support him or not and if he still has a possibility for a good future. On the contrary, Rihanna is hoping the best for her ex-boyfriend. According to Gossip Center Rihanna specifically stated, “I want him to do well, have a great career, have a great life and grow up. And just take this as something you had to go through to grow up and learn.” This is a perfect example that celebrities still live a normal life, and living up to the mistakes they’ve made throughout their life.

Taylor Swift and New Boyfriend

One of the hottest topics in the celebrity life that is big news no matter is which celebrities are dating and who. It seems to be made a big deal about all throughout the media and magazines. The fresh new couple that almost everyone is talking about is between 19 year old young swinger, Taylor Swift and 17 year old “Twilight” actor, Taylor Lautner. They are both still denying that they’re not more than “just friends.” It seemed to be more than just dating when they spotted Taylor Swift, new boyfriend Taylor Lautner, and Taylor’s mom dining together at a restaurant. They’ve recently gotten together and attended a hockey game where the Los Angeles King and the Columbus Blue Jackets played at the city’s Staples Center this past Sunday, October, 25. So although they may be denying their love to the public, Taylor Swift has given clear hints that she and Taylor Lautner are an item. They’re recently working together on a movie called “Valentine’s Day,” that’s due next month. Young Taylor Swift is so anxious to see herself looking loved-up with Taylor on the big screen, she has begged movie bosses to let them watch the an advanced version of the film in private. She explained to CMT Radio host Cody Alan: "I haven't seen 'Valentine's Day' at all. So hopefully we'll get to do a private screening because we both wanna see it so bad 'cause our scene was so much fun to do."

Taylor Swift’s actions are great examples of how every young lady should introduce their new boyfriend to their family, especially their mothers. Now days, young girls are being careless and less respective of themselves. They also tend to hold in things as a secret or not even share their experiences with their loved ones. Seeing this how Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner go about making their relationship stronger, is showing how even real stars regular people, even meeting the parent’s of the person their dating. Many young girls look up to Taylor Swift as a role model and likewise for Taylor Lautner. In this case, Swift got it easy. Usually celebrity news and gossip is set out to destroy you, but so far Ms. Swift has been making all the right moves, leading her to success in the future.

Chapter 2: Image Analysis

In chapter two of the Watchmen, there were a variety of images that could have been significantly important, but one stood out to me as the most important image of the chapter. On page 28 of chapter two, there is an image of Rorschach visiting where the funeral of the Comedian took place earlier that day. It’s raining and he’s standing beside Edward Morgan Blake’s death stone holding a single rose that was placed in front of the stone during the funeral. The rose Rorschach is holding seems a brighter red that the other roses.

This image is significantly important because it shows that there is at least someone who cares about the death Edward Morgan Blake, also known as the Comedian. A bouquet of roses is shown in the background lying beside Blake’s stone. Most of them seem as if they are dying, sort of losing their color. But when Rorschach picks one up, the rose clearly shows to be filled with life, and color. As it has been started throughout the novel, most of his friends or people who knew him, did not feel pity for his death, instead they felt relief and believe he deserved what he got.

In chapter one, we encountered almost the same moment and feelings. On page 5 of chapter one, Rorschach finds the Comedians yellow smiley face pin. As he picks it up and stares at it, he feels a sense of urge and determination to find out who killed him. In chapter two at the funeral, Rorschach receives a similar feeling when he holds the roses for the Comedian’s funeral. Unlike all the other super heroes, Rorschach was the only one who had the most sympathy and respect for him. Blake Edward was his partner and knew the most about Blake’s lonely life.

RANDOM

My life is a time machine.
Eighteen years ago, my eyes witness lights flashing down upon me

A second later, I cry.

One year later into the future I’m chasing chickens

They were like my pets,

I would wake up early in the morning go in the coral and feed them.

From before my time and after I no longer exist,

We will feed on the juicy tenderness of white meat

And that is how my chickens died.

My life is a time machine.

I close my eyes, and when I open them again

I’m making a wish from the 8 candles lit in front of me.

Everyone running around ignoring the tradition delicious deserts my mom made.

It is the year 2000, the police arrive at my house,

My sister’s excuse is, “I thought the power rangers would come?”

Ten years into the future, I’ve finally finished medical school

And I am happily married to my high school sweetheart with a beautiful baby.

Take it back nine years; I’m now no longer interested in chickens.

As my grandparents watch me in the coral,

I chase the ducks and mock the turkeys that live across the ocean in Peru.

My life is a time machine.

How Do We Know Anything?

There are many ways of how people see the world around them. One person's view of reality might differ from another's. People may belive that an external physical world may be affecting or interfering the way they think the world is. For example, when a rainbow is created after it rains on a sunny day, how do we know if we're really seeing what we're seeing? There are many people out there that might have claimed they've seen spirits or creatures that we're not even sure exist. Everything we've experienced could possibly be a dream that we're really not waking up from. And in that dream our mind is free to create whatever we do or do not want to see.

What might account for the differences in the way we percieve things are our beliefs. For some their views may fall into the category of solipsism. It is the view that your mind is the only thing that exists. For example, think about when you touch or see things. They may not really be there, but you know what you're supposed to be feeling or ssume that it's suppose to be feel, look, or sound a specific way. When you look back at everything you are experiencing, all your evidence that you hold about anything has to come through your mind. This is the most radical conclusion to dream from these beliefs. For others there may or may not be an external world, and if there is it may or may not be completely different from how it seems to you. This is called skepticism, making there be no way for you to tell what's real and what's not. For example, as Thomas Nagel argues, that you don't know about your own existence and experiences of the past because you only have the present memories to remind you of them. It would be unreasonable to think that your past may exist when you believe that nothing outside your mind existed before.

Some people could argue if there could be come absolute realities. From my point of view I say there can be depending on what perspective you look at it from. Your life and experiences could be all a dream, but everything in it is completely real to you. You could be a deep sleep from the moment you were born to the day you die, which may be when you finally wake up from the never ending dream. There may be certain limits to what it "real" and what a "hallucination" is. Take spirits and figures that are supposedly when certain elements of the earth come together creating a colorful rainbow. Do we honestly believe that any of that is real and that our minds are not just making them up? But for some things like, the ground, solid objects, or even people are programmed in our minds to consider them real.

Apparently there is no correct way to verify that the world exists beyong our mind. People for the most part are pretty convinced that we are all hunman beings, living in a real world, with real things surrounding us that we created. But not everyone will think the way another person does. There will always be someone questioning our own and the world's existence. As Nagel states, "Science won't help us with this problem either, thought it might seems to," in What Does It All Mean: A Very Short Introduction to Philosophy.

Through the Past

I remember it like it was yesterday. It was 7:00pm. Fall was beginning to emerge. The weather wasn't too bad. It had a fresh breeze that wasn't too cold, but just the proper temperature that made you enjoy the night from the scorching mornings. The room was filled with red heart shaped balloons throughout all the walls. As guests walked into the room, a crowd of people young and old would be dancing uncontrollably with each other as the band played salasa, so loud that I could barely hear myself talking. And there in the front and center of the room, was a birthday cake, dedicated to me.

There is not a time where I don't miss Peru. I visit about every fice years, so when I go there I take every advantage of every moment I have with my family. I also love the freedom! Here in Chicago, I'm honestly limited to the places and how many times I can go out. I'm eighteen years old now, and my parents still don't understand what privileges I should recieve. But when I'm in Peru, I can do anything! I find it ironic how back home where it's safer and my parents known where places are I can't go out as much as in Peru, where it's a bit dangerous and the places are kind of sketchy to them. I think it's the fact that they trust my older cousins to watch over me, unlike where with my friends that they don't know so well. In Peru, there are several tourist sports to go to, but most of them about an hour flight is required, so cities such as Lambayeque and Chiclayo do just fine when I'm there. People there usually transport by Moto-taxi, which is a motorcycle pulling a little cart that is able to fit two to three people, a regular taxi, or by just walking. I remember this one time when we rode a Moto-taxi to the market and right in front of it was a man selling a little monkey that was the size of both your palms. In U.S. dollars it was about $20 and till this day I still wish I would of gotten it and left it with my cousins when I left. Another day I remember clearly is when my cousin took my sisters and I to the museum when all of a sudden a little boy just hands us this puppy. We've always wanted a dog so when the boy gave it to us, we took it not even thinking about the possible dieases the dog might have had. But at that moment we didn't care. Sadly after we got to the museum a group of girls took it. As least for those fifteen minutes I got to experiences how it felt to have a dog as my own.

The most memorable time was that September night when my family threw me a Quinceanera. When I say my family, I mean my WHOLE family. Present were my mom's seven sisters and their husbands (unfortunately her two brothers couldn't make it), friends of the family, and of course all of my cousins. But what was the most important to me was that I got to spend that special night with my grandparents dancing the traditional Quinceanera waltz. I appreciate every second that I spend with them because I get to see them every five years, and God only knows what could happen between that time. Life is a mystery throwing random surprises at you when you least expect it. Over here in Chicago, I have no family, only my dad's sister and her husband. So having my family hundreds of miles away from me and not being able to talk or see them has made me respect what I have and that I live a good life here in the United States. My Family is my treasure.

Walk Disney owns Marvel

Walk Disney and Marvel Entertainment have been part of almost every childhood. Lion King, Iron Man, Aladdinm Batman, Chinderella, Spirderman, X-Men, Beauty and the Best, Snow White, and my more are America's favorite childhood movies. Walt Disney Company has recently gained full control of Marvel Entertainment when they bought it for $4 billion stock and cash transaction. Considering competitive and different Stan Lee, Marvel's acquisition to buying Marvel Entertainment. Lee is actually thrilled by the idea.

There has been question from Marvel fans about how Walt Disney would run Marvel Entertainment. Fanshave been worried if Marvel Entertainment will stay the way Stan Lee managed to bring the characters alive with his own special talent. As many of you know, Disney movies are non-violent and always tend to have happy ending to their stories. Unlike Disney, Marvel seems to attract the complete oppsite, whcih includes some violence. Each company has its own characteristics making them unique from the other. I couldn't be happi with this agreement," Lee said in a statement. Walt Disney and Marvel working together is a fantastic idea. Comics and movies would probably be even better than the original stories or characters to being with. But for the most part I believe that Disney movies will continue to be a happy ending story where as to Marvel movies will still be action movies. At the moment Disney and Marvel fans should not be worrying about the changes that may think will occur because it is most likely to stay the way they are now.
Although both companies have different yet unique ways of coming about their ideas, I am sure that by them uniting together will bring kids and adults new and exciting experiences to look forward to. The owner of Walt Disney and Marvel Entertainment wouldn't have agreed on the deal of Disney buying Marvel if they didn't think it was a good idea.

I Am a Stranger

I am a stanger to own identiy
Am i a stanger to the world?
I am the hidden North Star deep in the atmosphere's final layer
I am a stranger.
You think I'm not
But don't judge me
Is it the outside of my appearance?
Tge darj sgubt fkiw if my tan
And the way my long brown hair hangs down defining my eyes
Narrowing your options to only a few
So what, get it right!
My last name should give it away
I AM not Philipino, I am Chinese.
Or is it the way i talk?
You hear unknown words blur out of my mouth
The way I roll my R's and my bilingual language
Leaving your options to only one
So what, get it right!
I am not Mexican, I am Peruvian.
The barrier that surrounds me from the outsidee reality
The unbreakable lock to my only out
It's closed because I am a stranger
I'm not your ordinary mujer
I am your jack in the box when you open up a new box of Trix or Apple Jack.
I am Kerzie On Chong.
